With numerous public footpaths leading straight from your door, this property is ideally situated for a family Lake District Holiday.  Helm Lune is accessed by private road at the top of a rural lane with ample parking in the adjacent car park. Helm Lune enjoys a secluded spot together with its own outside seating area. The accommodation has a large open plan living room with spacious dining area. This split-level space has an open fire and Smart TV with DVD player. Cots and highchairs are available on request.

A welcome basket of logs is provided with additional wood available to buy from the Estate. Helm Lune has a well-equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer, electric induction hob and cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a downstairs WC which completes the ground floor. The first floor has two bedrooms - one double with ensuite shower room and one which has a choice of configurations - super kingsize with additional single, or three singles. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin, WC and heated towel rail. 

Helm Lune does not take pets. Matson Ground Holidays has two pet-friendly cottages - Elm How and Matson Ground Lodge. 

Helm Farm has three other self-catering properties within the complex: Helm Eden (sleeps four), Helm Kent (sleeps four) and Helm Mint (sleeps two) - a ground floor studio apartment. Helm Mint could be booked separately, subject to availability, and used as an extra bedroom.

Helm Lune sleeps five. It is one of four units within the Helm Farm Complex. One mile from Bowness-on-Windermere the property is accessed via Helm Road. Please note this is a steep road which becomes single track and narrow at the top. A rough track leads to the property carpark. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT HELM LUNE IS WITHIN A CONVERTED OLD FARM BUILDING WITH CHANGES IN FLOOR LEVEL BOTH INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY ON THE APPROACH. THERE ARE SOME LOW ANGLED CEILINGS ON THE FIRST FLOOR. THIS PROPERTY HAS AN OPEN FIRE. 

This property is not suitable for guests who require a wheelchair or for those who have restricted mobility. Young children and elderly guests should take extra care and be suitably supervised.

Arrival
Check-in is from 4pm on the day of your arrival.

On booking, you will be sent our Touchstay guidebook which can be received via text message or email. We encourage you to read this carefully. The guidebook can be downloaded onto your phone for access prior to and throughout your stay. It contains a wealth of information including directions to the property, wifi codes, important contact numbers, places to eat or visit during your stay and other tips from how to light the woodburning stoves to information about the nearest medical centre, local transport and local supermarkets.

Access to your accommodation is by key which is stored in a keysafe lockbox outside the door of your holiday cottage. Please call our housekeepers on 01539 729602 at least two days before your stay to get the unique code to your accommodation keysafe. The housekeeper will also check details about your stay and ensure everything is ready for your arrival.

Departure
We ask that you vacate your holiday cottage by 10am on the day of departure.

Please check you have all your belongings. If you leave an item behind please call us on 01539 445756 and we will endeavour to find it. If the item can be returned, we will do this but there may be a charge for post and packing.

Please leave the key in the keysafe lock box and ensure that the property is secure before your departure. Please check all windows are closed paying particular attention to any rooflights or velux windows. We wish you a safe journey home and hope to see you again at a Matson Ground Holiday Cottage.
