Located less than two miles from the small village of Patterdale, near Ullswater, on a single track unpaved gated road, Cruck Barn is nestled in a unique and secluded rural location. Cruck Barn lies adjacent to one of the main footpaths to Helvellyn and Fairfield and is an ideal base for walking holidays. If you are looking for peace and tranquility, Cruck Barn is the holiday cottage choice for you.

The open plan living area provides comfort and practicality with a cosy dining and seating area with electric stove, TV, DVD and CD player. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric cooker and microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and a washer /dryer. The bathroom which leads off the hallway has a feature stone wall and a modern bathroom suite with WC, basin, heated towel rail and shower over bath. A water source heat pump provides the heating and hot water. The double bedroom is spacious with views along the valley.  Cots and highchairs are available on request.

There is no TV signal in this remote location, but the TV has an HDMI port to accommodate external media. Mobile signal is also poor but the property has good internet connection and wifi calling can be accessed on a smart phone.

Cruck Barn does not take pets. Matson Ground Holidays has two pet-friendly cottages - Elm How and Matson Ground Lodge.

Elm How is adjacent to the property, sleeping eight.
