MacDonald Old England Hotel, Bowness on Windermere The MacDonald Old England Hotel is just down the road from our Windermere cottages. In fact, it's within walking distance, making it very convenient should you decide you fancy a day of pampering.

Choose from a number of options, including their Signature Spa Day - an 85-minute treatment, a delicious two-course lunch overlooking Lake Windermere, followed by a dip in the lakeside pool or a detox in their thermal suite?

Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa Nestled on the shores of Lake Windermere is Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa. Unwind with revitalising spa treatments, invigorating spa days and therapeutic thermal journey packages. 

A full spa day includes a 30-minute treatment, use of the indoor and outdoor thermal spa facilities, and exquisite lunch or afternoon tea options. Unpretentious luxury in a unique setting. 

Beech Hill Hotel and Spa The Lakeview Spa at the Beech Hill Hotel and Spa includes three treatment rooms, including one for couples, a Himalayan Sauna, an aromatic steam room and the choice of three pools, including two outdoor Vitality Spa Pools with stunning views of Lake Windermere and the Lakeland fells beyond.

The Swan Hotel and Spa At the southern tip of Lake Windermere is the Swan Hotel and Spa, which is currently undergoing an exciting transformation. Another Place, Ullswater For guests staying in one of our Ullswater cottages, Another Place, The Lake is a relaxed, contemporary hotel on the shores of Ullswater, perfect if you fancy a day just taking it easy. 

Swim Club is their take on a spa, a collection of secluded spaces, including a 20-metre indoor pool, a sauna and treatment rooms, where you can decide whether you want to be active or simply relax. 

Day membership is available to non-residents, and for a little extra they'll throw in a one-course lunch as well. 

Other options for those staying in our Ullswater cottages include Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa and Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa, both about a 45-minute drive from our cottages.
