From Helm Farm itself you can walk from the door on footpaths connecting to a wide network of footpaths in the local area.

Windermere is an excellent base from which to explore the Southern Lake District. Apart from wonderful natural scenery - mountains, lakes, and tarns - there are numerous interesting tourist attractions, many reflecting different aspects of life in the Lake District.
